根据耦合模理论推导出适用于纤芯为任意截面形状、两根保偏光纤的偏振轴非平行保偏光纤耦合器的耦合系数计算公式，形式简单、应用方便。

A new formula for coupling coefficient of polarization maintaining fiber coupler has been derived from coupling mode theory.The formula, which is quite simple and can be used quite easily, is appropriate for any fiber with core of both circular and noncircular crossections and for nonaligned optical axes as well.
