发展高等职业教育是经济和社会发展的需要，是教育结构调整的需要。北京联合大学经过近三年的高等职业教育试，或，在数量上有较大的发展，并办出一定的特色和水平，同时进行了高等职业教育的研究。取得成绩的原因是狠抓了观念的转变，各级领导的重视，虚心学习了国内外的好经验，积极和行业、中等职业教育合作以及北京联合大学自身的优势。在北京市经费投入和政策的大力支持下，加上自身的努力，北京联合大学能够成为北京高等职业教育的“中心”并形成“网络”，将一个有特色、高水平的高等职业教育带入２１世纪。

The development of higher vocational education is the need of the deveiopment of e-conomy and society,and the need of rectification of educational structure.After almost threeyear’s experiment in higher vocational education, Beijing Union University has developed on a largescale,achieved its own characteristics and levels and done research into this field,what has madeit a success is the change of concepts ’the attachment of importance on the education by leaders ofall levels, the medest learning from good pionts of others both at home and abroad,the active co-operation with professionals and vocational schools of intermediate learning,and the advantages ofBeijing Union University itseif as well.Supported by the good policies and provided with fund by theBeijing Municipal Goverment.Beijing Union University will surely become a center of Beijing highervocational education,form a network,bringing to the 21st century highly,graded,and highly-qual-ified vocational education.[
