This paper describes the production process of glass enamels and suspension slip. The composition of base glaze for colouration is based on the PbO-ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2 system. The amount of PbO was decreased to0～10 wt%. It isconcluded that the thermal expansion coeffecient of base glaze must be(1.8～4.5)× 10￣(-7)/℃ lower than the glass substrate according to the measured results by optical path difference. A good defloculant used for sus-pension of glaze slip was chosen in the lab and good suspension slip was obtained. Suspension mechanism of this defloculant is discussed in detail in the present paper.
