Through an analysis of the manufacturing technology for bellows components the effects of solution heat treatment on the fatigue life and elemination of the stress corrosion of an expansion joint are described.Furthermore it is pointed that the surface hardening treatment can yet be regarded as an effective way of improving its stress corrosion resistance and fatigue life.
