摘要
本文运用分形分析方法，从数量方面研究了线状符号的形态结构特征随比例尺变化的规律，并提出了依据所研究的规律进行线状符号自动综合的方法，为制图综合过程的自动化、模型化探索了一条新的途径。
By using fractal analysis，this paper studies the laws of the shape characteristics andcomplexity of cartographic linear elements in accordance with scales．Aseries of formulas re－flecting these laws and automated generalization methods for linear elemerits based on thelaws are put forward.
