摘要
扼要说明了当今全球系统研究的某些重要动向，包括全球气候变化、全球环境管理、历史环境变化及环境过程的综合研究，遥感和地理信息系统在全球系统研究中的应用。此外，就地理学上作者如何参与全球系统研究及地理学本身的建设提出了若干建议。
The overall aim of the studies on the global system is to resolve the problems occurringon a global scale and to realize a coordinated and sustainable development between resources,environment and economy.In this paper,some of the most popular fields in the studies on global system arepresented and discussed,such as global climate change,global environmental management,environmental change in history,integrated studies on environmental processes as well asapplications of remote sensing and GIS in the studies of global system. In addition,someenlightenments drawn from the trends in the studies on global system are put forward.
