The study was intended to find the method and criteria for analysing and judging the results of the automatic perimeter according to the defect. Based on the control study, we think that the criteria for the early glaucoma visual field should be: (1) more than two adjacent points over 5 dB, or single point over 6 dB within 10 degree; (2) more than three adjacent points over 6 dB, or single point over 8 dB between 10-20 degree. The careful consideration must be given to the change of threshold within the region beyond 20 degree. The sensitivity and specificity for the criteria is 100% and 90%, respectively.
