Further discussion on the traffic separation scheme in Taiwans Strait

通过对台湾海峡与航行有关的诸因素和交通流的分析，结合ＩＭＯ关于船舶定线制的规定和其他有关国际公约，对台湾海峡的分道通航的必要性进行了探讨，从而提出了台湾海峡分道通航的方案，以及为了保证分道通航的实施，在加强建设助航标志方面的设想。

This paper analyses the factors relatedto marine traffic flow and navigation in the TaiwanStrait and discusse the necessity of traffic separation in Taiwan Strait according to IMO andother international regulations governing shipping routeing. The paper contains an updatedanalysis of current traffic conditions and suggests a new scheme for traffic separation and theideas of construction and improvement of navigational aids in the Taiwan Strait, which will ul-timately create a more efficient routing system and a safe marine traffic environment.
