黄河南徙期间淮河流域水灾研究与制图

RESEARCH AND MAP-COMPILATION ON FLOODS IN THE HUAIHE RIVER VALLEY WHILE THE YELLOW RIVER MIGRATION SOUTHWARD

本文以历史洪涝潮灾史料为依据，分析了在黄河南徙入淮期间淮河流域的洪涝潮灾情况，着重阐述了明清时期人类治河及漕运活动对淮河流域水灾的多方面作用。对历史自然灾害研究提出了自己的认识，并根据史料描述和统计结果做出多种类型的历史水灾地图。

Based on the historical records on floods in the Huaihe River Valley this paper examinedthe flood disasters during the period when t he Yellow River migrated southward into theHuaihe River Valley(1994-1855).The auther illustrated the various and significant effectsof both the Yellow River and the harnessing of rivers and the protecting of the Grand Canalin the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty, expressed his own ideas to the methodology ofthe study on the historical disasters. Furthermore,the author compiled severaI types of the-matic maps of historical floods in the Huaihe River Valley. With comprehensive studies,several conclusions were achieved as follows. 1.The Yellow River, with its immense floods and huge sediments into the Huaihe RiverValley, was one of the main causes to the great changes in the water courses and the seriousfloods in the same region 2.The harnessing of water and the protecting of the Grand Canal were another chiefcausehaving both positive and negative consequences to the flood situation,3.Thematic map on historical disasters is useful in this research subject by giving visualillustrations. Meanwhile, wise skills should be applied in the map compilation。
