摘要
简述了多媒体技术的基本概念后，着重探讨了水电厂监控系统中的多媒体功能。在此基础上制定了多媒体系统的实施方案，并概述了多项试验的结果，试验结果表明，多媒体技术已具备分批投入工业应用的条件。部分功能已投入工业应用。
The paper briefly describes the basic concept of multimedia discusses the flexible functionssuitable to monitoring and control of hydro-power plant. Based on that, a practical multimedia scheme was made and used to test the functions. The results of the tests show that the multimedia technology is ready to be applied in industrial monitoring and control,and some of them are already used in hydro-power plants.
