摘要
本文首次提出了泵浦反射型的EDFA结构,理论计算表明,泵浦反射型EDFA较之常规型EDFA有高的泵浦效率,高的3dB压缩饱和输出功率、低的泵浦阈值。同时由于采用光纤Bragg光栅作反射器,使这种泵浦反射型EDFA在工艺上容易实现。
A New configuration of an erbium-doped fiber amplifier(EDFA) has been proposed to improve the pumping efficiency and saturated output power. For 1. 48μm pumping ,this configuration can double the pumping efficiency with the same fiber length. The maximum value of small signal gain is 3dB larger ,and the saturated output power of this configuration is 1. 5dBm higher than those of the normal type.
