The cellulose derivatives as chiral stationary phase(CSP) in high-performance liquid chromatography are reviewed with 64 references. The types of cellulose derivative are introduced. The resolution mechanism of the CSP is discussed. The applications in medicine, organic intermediate, biochemistry and preparation of racemates are summarized.
