The activity coefficients of C4 alcohols in diphenyl methane and in dibenzyl ether at 313.15 K were measured by gas-liquid finite concentration chromatography.The data were treated with Wiehe-Bagley(W-B)continuous association model,and then the self-association constants KA were evaluated.According to the concept of homomorph,taking the value of KA of one alcohol in diphenyl methane as the value of the same alcohol in dibenzyl ether,the cross association constants KAB of alcohol with dibenzyl ether were obtained.It is shown that the W-B model can be fitted to the experimental result satisfactorily.
