The paper discusscd the causes which lead to inaccuracy of the temperature measured by infrared instrumcnts in details, the possibility and the necessity of getting accuratc tempera-ture value. At last, the basic methods to detoct intcrnal and external ovcrheating dcfect for elec-tric equipments were given.
