The operating conditions of syphomatic auto-closing apparatus (SAC) of gravitational valveless filter (GVF) are described in this paper, A new type of SAC constructed with a floating ball is introduced and its design when it is applied for GVF with filter beds consisted by mono, twin and three filtering layers are presented.
