Scale formation and corrosion in indoor water supply pipeline have been much concerned by designer and operators in virtue of its effects to the normal performance and the lifetime of water system. The mechanism of scale preventing and corrosion retarding and experimental data of a new chemical called Siliphos and its operation method, effect and economic feature are presented by the practical applications in Silver Star Hotel in Shanghai and Lido Holiday Inn, Greatwall Hotel and Yuyang Hotel in Beijing in this paper.
