摘要
本文利用高斯近似法分析了折射率分布对多包层椭圆光纤保偏特性的影响,用曲线图的方式给出了归一化模场半径,归一化双折射和模间色散随各层折射率变化的趋势,分析并讨论了各层相对折射率差对改善椭圆光纤的保偏特性所起的作用.
The Scalar variational analysis based on Gaussian approximation of founda-mental mode is applied to multi-clad elliptical fibers. The normalized spot-size, the normalized birefringence and the modal dispersion varied with the refractive index profile are studied and discussed with graphic results. The effect of ratio of index difference for each cladding on polarization characteristics is also examined.
