The compound of Tricyclo [5, 2, 1, 02,6] dec-3-ene-8, 9-dicarboxylic acid diesters was prepared by treating dicyclopentadiene with carbinol and carbon monoxide in the presence of Palladium Chloride and Copper Chloride. We get the colorless transparent thin piece of crys tal in 90% yield.
