摘要
为避免美国的直升机发动机对西欧的渗透,西欧主要发动机公司曾签约要合作研制这类小发动机.在这样的历史背景下,德国、法国和英国的发动机公司组成MTR公司,并于1989年开始研制MTR390发动机.目前,这项研制计划已历时近6年,正处于试飞研制阶段,不久后就将在“虎”直升机上投入使用.
The MTR390 has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of a wide range of helicopter applications both civil and military. The engine has been selected to power Eurocopter Tiger. This paper describes mainly the background, structure and performance, reliability and maintainability design, test program, applications etc. about the MTR390.
