Worldwide Demand-Supply Trends of Liquified Natural Gas

天然气在储量、成本和对环境的影响方面,比之其他能源均占有明显优势,但其储量分布不均,世界许多国家和地区将依赖俄罗斯、中东等资源丰富的国家和地区。液化天然气作为使用天然气的一种重要形式,对包括我国在内的环太平洋亚洲地区具有十分重要的意义。由于液化天然气需求增长且扩增生产能力需巨额投资,今后液化天然气价格将适度上涨。我国天然气储量和产量均不能满足国民经济发展的需求,我国东南沿海,尤其上海、广州等大中城市,应考虑适当进口液化天然气,以作为解决城市燃气的一种重要补充。

Natural gas has obvious advantages over other energy sources as far as available reserves, cost and environmental impact; however, its supply and sourcing relies more and more on such natural gas- rich nations as Russian and the Middle East. LNG, as an important form of utilizing natural gas, is of great significance to Pacific-Rim nations including China. Because the demand for LNG is increasing and large investments are needed to expand its production capacity, LNG's price will see a moderate rise in future. Both China's reserves and production of natural gas cannot meet development requirements. Its cities located on China's southeast coast, especially large cities such as Shanghai and Guangzhou, should consider importing moderate amounts of LNG to ease the tight supply of urban gas fuel.
