This paper introduced the development background of chemical fiber industry in Taiwan,demand variation for textile fibres,import and export trade construction and development of textiles as well as capacity varia- tion, construction of production and sales,market for export ,supply anddemand situation of the raw materi- als for chemical fibres,problems in developing chemical fibre industry and relevant measures taken. It fore- casted that the chemical fibre industry in Taiwan will maintain the developing trend and still keep the third place in the world in the following recent years.
