Synthesis of Trimethylacetic Acid and Trimetylacetyl Chloride

本文采用异丁醇与甲醇在硫酸介质中反应，制备了三甲基乙酸，收率为８５％。然后与三氯化磷反应得到三甲基乙酰氯，收率为８７％，并确定上述二步反应的最佳条件。

Trimethylacctic acid, obtained by reaction of isobutanol with formic acid in the presence of sulfurric acid in 85% was treated with phosphorus trichloride, toyield trimethylacetyl chloride in 87%. The best conditions of the reaction were reported.
