The Analysis and forecast to the status of power peak adjustment have been done for Hunan power network. It is pointed out that more difficult status of power peak adjustment will be encounted unless intessive attention on plan is given. The paper describes the construction possibility and economic benefit to developing pumped storage status in Hunan and points out its urgent necessity.
