This article described the major measures for breeding high and stable winter wheat variety Jingdong 6 by full use of photothermal conditions in the milk-filling period and big-grain parental resources, the methods to solve contradictions among grain number, maturity date and cold resistance, and to keep the adequate number of matured ears.
