两湖平原城镇体系的结构与功能研究

THE RESEARCH ON STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONS OF URBAN SYSTEM IN DONGTING-JIANGHAN PLAIN

研究了建国以来江汉平原和洞庭湖平原城镇体系空间结构的演变、等级规模结构、职能结构的特征，分析了城镇体系的主要功能，阐明了城镇体系形成的有利条件、制约因素以及发展的战略机遇．认为两湖平原城镇发展具有明显的阶段性特征；城镇数量和非农业人口等级规模呈金字塔形；具有公路运输和水路运输为特色的交通职能，充分利用资源优势发展加工业的经济职能；城镇体系发育的条件优越，城镇经济已成为区域经济的主体，并为区域农业现代化发展作出了重大贡献；但城镇体系发展还存在首位城市偏小、引力和辐射半径偏短、产业结构相似等问题，应以兴建三峡工程为契机，优化城镇结构与功能．

This paper studies the evolution of spatial structure the charcteristics ofscale grades and functional structure of the urban system in Dongting-Jianghanplain since 1949. It analysis that the main functions of the urban system. It clarifiesthe favourable conditions and restrictive factors the strategic opportunity for it todevelop. The development of cities and towns in Dongting-Jianghan plain has evident stage characteristic. The numbers of cities and towns and the scale grades ofnonagricultural population all have the shape of pyramid. The urban system hascommunication function characterized by road and water transport. It also has economic function characterized by taking advantage of resouries sufficiently to developprocessing. The conditions for urban system to grow up are superior urban economy becomes main part of regionaleonomy, and makes greater contributions to regional agriculture modernization. But in the development of urban system there areproblems such as the first place city being on a low side, the industrial structuresimilarlizing pushed forward by building TGP the structure and functions of urbansystem should be more excellent.
