Cocurrent downflow circulating fluidized bed(CDCFB)is a new type of gas一solids quickcontact reactor. Within the CDCFB of internal diameter 0.14m,a unique phosphor tracertechnique has been developed which permits the continuous determination of solid tracer concentration with time at different radial and axial positions.Solids mixing has been described byaproposed two dimensional plug flow dispersion model satisfactorily. The radial and axial dis-persion coefficients at various operating conditions have been evaluted from the experimentalresults of tracer concentration versus time. Based on these results,correlations of the radialand axial Peclet numbers with bed voidage and gas Reynolds number were proposed.
