This paper reviewed the results and trends of dioxin research in China andabroad.Toxic congeners of d ioxins and the computation of their toxic equivalents,accurateanalytical methods,the formation mechanism of dioxins during the combustion and the con-trolling emissions from incinerators,photodegradation of dioxins and their degradation prod-ucts,and dioxin-like PCBs were introduced.More than 90 update references and relatedcharts and tables were cited。
