Abstract Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) has been used to investigate the structureof carbon nanotubes in the deposit produced from a discharge method.STM imagesshow the pattern and stracture of carbon nanotubes deposited on highly orientedpyrolytic graphite (HOPG) substrate.
