The polarographic wave of complex of Sb (Ⅲ)-1-pheny-3-methy1-4-benzoylpyra-zolone-5 (PMBP)was studied. The optimum conditions are 1.5×10 ̄(-4)mol/L PMBP and HAc-NaAc buffer solution at pH 3.5. The potential of peak is -0.54v (vs. SCE). The Linear rangebetween the height of peak and the concentration of Sb (Ⅲ) is from 0.002-0.200μg/ml. The com-position of complex is Sb (Ⅲ): PMBP=1: 2. The conditional stability constant was found to be β=1.63×10 ̄6. The characters of polarographic wave and other electrochemical reaction mechanismwere investigated by cycle voltammetry and other electrochemical methods. The interferences from more than thirty metal ions are tested. The method has been used for determination of trace amount of Sb (Ⅲ) in a sample with satisfactory results.
