The conditions of determination of trace selenium by catalytic polarographic are give as fol-lows: when the temperature is 5～25℃,it has better sensitivity, the concentration of selenium inambit being in the range of 2. 44×10￣(-)～1. 71×10￣(-3)μg/ml, it is linear with catalytic current.Inthe process of treating sample the perchloric acid is not allowed to evaporate to dryness.
