Abstract By the use object oriented designingmethod,taking deeuments as knowledge aggregate and utiliz-ing BOrland C+ + language an object oriented expert systemESFWID based on windows for sliding bearing design hasbeen developed in t his paper.This system accomplished acomplete process from the choice of nondeterminate parame-ters in bearing design,calculation of structures and proper-ties, result analysis,evaluation to the output and possessed afriendly man-computer interface based on figures and thecharacterics- of easy manipulation, strong in disIocation,convenient for maintenance and application.
