摘要
本文讨论了自行研制的工程数据库管理系统EDBMS/3的内存管理技术。对系统缓冲区和表工作区的有效管理及对外存的块读写操作,减少了表切换和元组切换的I/O操作,从而提高了EDBMS/3的存取效率。
In this paper. the main memory of an engineering database management system EDBMS/3 is discussed. Management of the. system buffer and the table working area, and reading and writing operations for the blocks in the disk make the I/O operations by the tables and tuples swapping decreased, therefore increasing the access efficiency of EDBMS/3.
