本文介绍了利用Ｐｏｗｅｔｂｕｉｌｄｅｒ作为前台工具软件开发数据库应用系统的一个实例，特别是充分发挥了ｃｌｉｅｎｔ／ｓｅｒｖｅｒ体系结构及面向对象方法的优越性。
