本文对英国综合性大学医学教育管理体制与运行机制,经费来源情况及英国大学、医学院、附属医院、教学医院之间的相互关系,英国医学教育的学制、学费、课程与教学模式等作了较为详尽的介绍。由此引发了对医学教育的几点思考:让医学院具有充分的自主权有利于医学教育的发展;加强大学或医学院对附属医院和教学医院的管理;医学教育应当重视医学生综合素质的培养;注重教学资源的开发和利用。

In the face of opportunity and challenge of the 21st century, it is imperative for us to carry out further reform on administration system and length of schooling of the advanced medical education after accomplishing the adjustment of its own structure. At the same time, it will offer beneficial reference to our own educational reform to research the administration system and operating mechanism of the advanced medical education in the developed country and summarize their advantages and disadvantages. Based on it, this article makes primary analysis of the administration system and operating mechanism of the advanced medical education in the comprehensive university of the U. K. at present, starting with discussing the relationship between the two. Meanwhile, by probing into the funds source, length of schooling ,tuition fee, courses and teaching mode, this article will provide some reference for the further reform of the medical education in our institution of higher learning.
