The Construction and Popularization for Modern Style Poetry of "Four Literary Friends"

“Four Literary Friends”, who were introducedin the poets in the early Tang dynasty, followed strictly the patterns and the rhyme schemes of poetry. Their poems provided a great deal of valuable information as regards the formulation of rhythm. Being in an advantageous position, “Four Literary Friends” played a positive role in the popularization of modern style poetry in that specific political climate and cultural background.
