On the Communication and Conflict Between Fu Sinian and Qian Mu

傅斯年与钱穆三十年代曾有来往,后因史学主张等分歧而产生矛盾。他们的交往和矛盾从一个方面反映了中国现代史学研究中不同学派的汇合与分离,也反映出那个时代知识分子文化心理的某些方面。梳理他们的交往和分歧,对于认识中国现代史学发展和那个时代知识分子的性格心理具有重要意义。

Fu Sinian and Qian Mu, the two distinguished scholars communicated with each other in 1930＇s but later parted for their different historic viewpoints. Their example partially mirrored the fact of the union and secession of various modem Chinese schools of history, and the fact of the cultural psychology of the intellectuals at that time. In this sense, a systemic study of the relationship between Fu and Oian is no doubt beneficial to the understanding of the then educated people and the status quo.
