In the educational works of Dewey , the democratism occupied the very important position. This text starts analyzing from the background of emergence of the Dewey democratism thought , analyzing the democratism is a what kind of relationship with education in the eye of the Dewey. Dewey deemed, for the sake of further existence, democratism ought to be modified and advanced, and offer a challenge to the education as well. Facing up to the challenge, Dewey always believe ： democratic society must proceed with the educational system just for the purpose of democracy; democratism meanwhile presents a benchmark for the development of education, which leads the educational development on to a right road. Otherwhise , development of democratism depends on education. In the other words, the relationship between democratism and education is quite close and inseparable.
