The Development of the New Spone Gourd F_1 Hybrid 'Rubaizaosigua'

一代杂种乳白早丝瓜生长势强,较抗丝瓜霜霉病和白粉病,早熟,第一雌花节位7～8节,比长沙肉丝瓜早5～6天采收;瓜条棒形,中粗,匀直,表皮乳白色,果肉脆嫩,味甜;果长30～32 cm,果粗6～7 cm,单果重500～600g.露地栽培每667 m2产量3 000～4000kg,比长沙肉丝瓜增产27.8%以上.

Rubaizaosigua is a new F1 hybrid by crossing self-line BO1 with the self-line B04. The variety grows vigorously with resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew. The first fruit setting is 7-8 nodes. In contrast to the control variety Changsharousigua,the harvest time of this variety is 5-6 days earlier. The fruit is stick shaped with white skin and tender flesh. It tastes sweet. The individual fruit in average is 30-32 cm long and 6-7 cm wide with a weight of 500-600 g. It yields 35-45 t·hm^-2, 27.8% higher than that of the control variety. It is suitable for open field cultivation and protected cultivation. This variety has been extended to Hunan,Guangxi, Jiangxi, Fujian etc.
