Breeding of New High-yielding Hybrid Rice Combination Huayou 153

华优153是广东省汕头市农科所与华南农业大学农学院联合以Y华农A为母本,R153为父本组配育成的籼型杂交稻新组合,具有产量高、米质较优、抗病性较强等特点,2005年4月通过广东省农作物品种审定。

Huayou 153 （Y Huanong A/R153）, developed by the Shantou Agricultural Research Institute of Guangclong and College of Agronomy of South China Agrieuhural University, is a new indiea hybrid rice combination. It is characteristic of high yield, acceptable grain quality and relatively strong disease resistance. It was certified in Guangdong Province in March, 2005. The applying techniques for its cultivation and hybrid seed production were also briefly introduced.
