Religion holds diversified views of women in terms of status, rights and obligation, marriage and conduct. There are two sides to the religious view of women： one of respect for women, which conforms to the standards of the mainstream society, and the other of disrespect for women, which hinders women＇s development. In modem society, the religious outlook on women is still influential with women at large in that it can help to modernize their idea, conduct and personality.
