In the process of regional economic integration in Asia, ASEAN Free Trade Area(AFTA)is the earliest-initiated form of regional integration. Starting from preferential trade arrangements and then marching towards economic community, the economic effects of ASEAN Free Trade Area(AFTA)has gradually come in sight. The progress of regional economic integration in ASEAN has great impacts on other forms of integration within the region.
