当代中国公共雕塑从创作体裁、尺度、形式、风格、使用材料与环境协调上都不同程度地出现了问题,这不单是雕塑本身的问题,也涉及到许多社会方面的问题,只有正确认识、科学把握这些问题,并尽快加以解决,中国的公共雕塑事业才有可能持续健康地发展。

The Public Sculpture in modern china is faced up with problems, though in different degrees, in such aspects of the creative work as the types, the sizes, the forms, the styles and the harmony of the material and the environment. Such are not merely problems of the sculpture itself, but also involving many social fields. Only when they are recognized properly, analyzed scientifically and solves as soon as possible, will the public sculpture in China have the probability to develop sustainably.
