“Heaven-and-Man Separation ”and “ Heaven-and-Man Combination” ——the Comparison of the Cultures in China and in the West

中西文化相异的源头端在中国文化主张“天人合一”,而西方文化主张“天人相分”。文章对这两种理论的思想渊源、本质及利弊进行比较,从而提出超越“天人相分”,实现现代意义上的“天人合一”,即,在人和自然平等互动关系基础上实现人对自然的认识、理解、融入、渗透和改造。

The difference of the cultures in China and in the west is that the Chinese culture stands for ＂Heaven-and-Man Combination＂ while the western culture stands for ＂Heaven-and-Man Separation＂. The article compares the two theories and suggests to transcend ＂Heaven-and-Man Separation＂ to make ＂Heaven-and-Man Combination＂ true in the modern time, which means to understand, comprehend and change the nature on the basis of equality and mutuality.
