摘要
EAD是网络环境下档案管理、图书馆、博物馆处理档案与手稿资料最常用的元数据。本文简要介绍了EAD的发展历程,详细阐述了EAD与ISAD(G)(《国际档案著录标准(总则)》)相关元素之间的映射关系,并举例说明了EAD在中文档案著录中的应用情况,旨在为EAD在中文档案领域的推广应用以及EAD与其他它数据格式之间的转化提供一定的借鉴与参考。
EAD is the most frequently employed metadata for archives, libraries, museums and manuscript repositories to support the use of their holdings. This paper briefly introduces developing course of the EAD, explains its crosswalking with the relative elements in ISAD （G） in detail, and demonstrates the application of EAD to the Chinese archives＇ description, to aim at offering useful experience and reference for the internal popularization and application of EAD to the Chinese archives, and those of the transformation between EAD and other metadata.
