伊斯兰从来不是一个民族,甚至也不仅仅只是一种宗教。伊斯兰是一种文化和社会制度,是地球上一种人类的生活和思考方式,是彼此传递信息、联络感情和合作奋斗的凭借和媒介。伊斯兰的内涵要远比一个宗教的内涵丰富、深刻得多。在历史上,没有阿拉伯的文明当作桥梁,欧洲文明会是什么样子?如果当代西方政治人物能够铭记于斯,西方同伊斯兰的冲突何至于弄成今天这样吗!中国特色的伊斯兰教思想与其说是儒家化了,倒不如说是在化儒家了,因为它们的神学内核并无变动,可以认作是伊斯兰世界各类不同思想派别认识的一种,应当在伊斯兰世界思想史上占一席位置。

Islam is a nation never, even it is merely a kind of religion neither. Islam is a kind of cultural and social systems, is a kind of the methods of the human life and thinking on the earth, and is the resort and medium to delivering informations and connecting with emotions and cooperating to struggle each other. The Islamic connotation is very abundant and profundity than religion. On the history, the civilization that have no Arabia regard as the bridge, European civilization would be what appearance.9 If the contemporary western politician can be engrave on theirs mind, the conflict is not become today between the western and Islam! Chinese Islamic thought should have a main position on the history of Islamic world thought.
