To investigate the physiological response of athletes at velocity of ·↑VO2max exercise, with the purpose to provide the experimental basis in making the training prescription of middle and long distance running. 12 runners were tested by treadmill including one incremental test with ·↑VO2max and one constant running with velocity of ·↑VO2max. The ·↑VO2max, velocity of ·↑VO2max,Tmax and tlim of subjects were determined in two tests. The result showed that there was no significant difference for ·↑VO2max between incremental and constant running groups, which tended to close relationship between two groups. During constant running with velocity of ·↑VO2max, 75% of subjects reached the 98% of ·↑VO2max at exercise duration of 60% Tmax, and some subjects even excelled the ·↑VO2max. It concluded that velocity of ·↑VO2max was effective elicit for intensity of ·↑VO2max. Velocity of ·↑VO2max and Tmax can be the parameter in middle and long distance running.
