本文介绍了作者新近开发的ＦＴＣＡＰＰ系统的设计思想，总体结构、工作原理及特点，该系统采用了作者提出的“基于加工面的功能要素描述法”描述非回转体零件的信息，是应用于阀体类零件的一个ＣＡＰＰ系统。

This paper introduces the design idea,Overall structure,working prin-ciple and feature of the FTCAPP system developed recently by the authors.In this system,the information of nonrotary components is described by adopting the method-known as function factor description on the base of the machining surface-put forward by the authors.The FTCAPP is a CAPP system used for valve body type components。
