Japanese Colonial Rule in the Occupied Middle of China in Anti-Japanese Wartime

华中地区是中国经济比较发达的地区,日本侵略华中的目的之一是掠夺物资、财富并摧毁国民政府赖以坚持抗战的经济基础。战争陷入持久化态势以后,日本推行以战养战、以华治华方略,试图把华中沦陷区经络成为它们坚持战争、扩大战争的给养补充基地。为此,日本加强对华中沦陷区的殖民统治,扶植傀儡政权,驱使伪政权为其统治、掠夺、奴役沦陷区人民效力。本文重点阐述日本华中占领区的概况、日本在华中沦陷区的殖民统治机构、日本在华中扶植的伪政权及其为日本效力残害、剥夺沦陷区人民的主要情况。

One of the purposes that Japan invaded the middle of China, the more developed region in China, was plundering materials and fortune and destroying this economical foundation of Chinese government. When the war was persistent, Japan adopted the ＂support war by war, govern Chinese by Chinese＂ strategy and tried to turn the occupied middle of China into their base of persisting and enlarging the war which could supply them enough martial materials. Therefore, Japan strengthened the colonial rule in the occupied middle of China, propped up the puppet government and drove this puppet government to serve for Japanese ruling, plundering and thralling people of the occupied region. This essay will lay emphasis on the general situation of the middle of China which was occupied by Japan, colonial organization that Japan established up in the occupied middle of China, the puppet government that Japan propped up in the middle of China and its service for Japan to kill and bereave the people of the occupied middle of China cruelly.
