网络信息计量学研究（Ⅲ）——大学网站链接特征指标的计量分布规律

Study on Webometrics (Part 3)--Study on the Distribution of Measurements on Indexes of University Websites Hyperlinks

本研究从101个美国商学院和医学院网站中抽取40个作为样本,考察了8个衡量网络链接特征的指标.结果表明:①本研究所考察的101个院校网站具有相似的链接特征;②这些指标数据量的分布符合对数正态分布;③网站中指向内部的链接在数量和所占比例上远远高于指向外部的链接;④在主机中存在大量指向主机外,却在相同域的链接,这部分链接的性质既不同于指向主机内的链接,与指向主机所在域以外网络资源的链接也具有显著差异,在网络链接和网站评价研究中,必须考虑这部分链接对研究结果造成的影响.

Eight indexes on website hnks character have been investigated by using fourty university websitos sampled from 101 university websites. Based on this research, we draw four conclusions. Firstly, there is no difference among the 101 academic website on hnk characters. Secondly, the measurements of these indexes follow Log normal distribution. Thirdly, we find that the number of website＇s self-hnks is much bigger than the number of website＇s outgoing-hnks. Fourthly, a special type of hyperlink should be given highly attention to,which is the intersection of the outgoing-hnks from the given host and the self-hnks of the given domain, because there are obviously difrerences in its properties among them.
