The Geopolitics and the Ethnic Issue of the Five Central Asian States

地缘政治与民族问题固然属于不同范畴的两大理论体系,但二者之间存在着一定的内在联系。它们相互影响,相互制约,对世界政治、经济形势的发展产生较大影响。本文以中亚地区的历史与现实问题为载体,探讨地缘政治与民族问题在沙俄时期、苏联时期以及中亚五国独立后的相互关系,以便于我们对上述两大理论体系之间的联系以及中亚的历史与未来有更清楚的认识。

Geopolitics and ethnic problems belong to two different theoretical systems of course. but they are internally linked up with each other in one way or another. Interactive and holding each other in check, they have a great im pact on world political and economic developments. With the historical and practical issues in the Central Asian region as the vehicle, my article probes into the interrelationship of geopolitics and ethnic issues during the Czarist period, the USSR period and the independence period of the five Central Asian states so as to acquire a better understanding of the relationship between the two major theoretical systems as well as the history and future of Central Asia.
